Overview
The MayTec solutions Division has an exciting opportunity for a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our fast-paced and rapidly growing team. This division is responsible for the MayTec range of aluminium profiles and steel pipe systems, as well as Carryline conveyor solutions.
Purpose of the Role
The Mechanical Fitter will assemble high-quality machine frames, guard frames, workbenches, and conveyor systems using mechanical drawings and 3D CAD models. The ideal candidate will bring experience in mechanical assembly or similar technical environments and be able to thrive in a dynamic, high-turnover project setting. Full training on our product lines will be provided.
Roles & Responsibilities
- • Assemble machine frames, guard frames, workbenches, and conveyor systems from mechanical drawings and 3D CAD models, ensuring high precision and quality.
- • Operate workshop machinery, including bed saws, chop saws and milling machines.
- • Pick components accurately for upcoming builds and projects.
- • Pack and ship completed products in line with company standards.
- • Operate a forklift (training/licence advantageous).
- • Carry out miscellaneous off-site work, supporting installation where needed.
- • Maintain a clean, safe, workspace, contributing to a professional and efficient department.
Requirements
- • Forklift certification desirable.
Desirable
- • Previous experience in mechanical assembly, fitting, or a similar hands-on environment.
- • Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and 3D CAD models.
- • Confident using workshop machinery and hand tools.
- • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of projects.
- • Reliable, proactive, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
