A great opportunity has come up to join our Marine & Build to Print Division.
Purpose of the Role
The individual will be tasked with building mechanical sub-assemblies and control boxes and control systems according to drawings and specification. The role will require fabrication, mechanical fastening and component mounting for the UK and Worldwide marketplace.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Build robust mechanical sub-assemblies against various drawings
- Mount internal components and hardware to control panels
- Read, interpret and work from mechanical drawings
- Safely operate various manual hand and power tools
- Manage workload to meet time sensitive production targets
- Flag material shortages or drawing queries immediately
- Maintain clean and tidy work areas following health and safety policies
Requirements
- Mechanical assembly experience preferred but not essential
Desirable
- Practical, hands-on can-do attitude
- Good Communication skills to explain differences within issued drawings
- High attention to detail with a quality over quantity mindset
- Confident with using various hand tools such as drills, torque tools
- Strong understanding in reading mechanical blueprints and layout drawings
- Strong understanding of industrial workshop practices
