Material Control Operative

An opportunity has come up to join our cross function stores team.
Purpose of the Role
This person can be experienced in stores/warehousing/dispatch from any industry, and whilst it would be helpful for them to have obtained this in a technical or industrial setting it is more important to be quality driven with a strong work ethic and an exceptional eye for detail, the stores area is at the heart of all projects we do so the ideal candidate will need to be hardworking, approachable, understandable and be willing to problem solve with all departments.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Picking stock for jobs and placing in job bins ready for collection
- Booking in deliveries from our many suppliers within goods in dept
- Moving deliveries to their required location within the business once booked in and cleared
- Complete stocktakes and PI counts
- Rotate of stock and job bins in stores to maintain good housekeeping and keep wastage to a minimum
- Keep detailed logs of any query’s, missed deliveries or half deliveries
- To be proactive in allowing space for incoming and upcoming projects
- Stock administration, chasing missing orders etc. working with a line manager to achieve this
- To work in the B2P section replenishing stock and making finished projects ready for deliveries daily
- Making deliveries to customers and collections when required
- Forklift driving
- Stores replenishment
- Booking in materials including our MayTec range
- Handling and sorting bought in components for projects
- Waste management, working and policing our waste management system including wood waste cardboard waste and scrap steel and metals
- Maintain health and safety at all times
- General shop floor etiquette (emptying of bins, keeping area safe and clean etc)
- Packing and despatching of goods both domestically and internationally
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Stores / Warehousing
- Forklift Licence
- UK driving licence
