Accounting Assistant

Overview

Our accounts team support all areas of the business to achieve key business success. This team operate at the heart of the business and are crucial to operational functionality.

Purpose of the Role

The main purpose of this role is to support the accounts department with its day-to-day functions.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Updating and reconciling financial ledgers
  • Process supplier invoices onto our accounts package (Opera 3)
  • Reconcile supplier statements to our accounts package.
  • Prepare supporting financial accounting reports
  • Telephone call handling
  • Support daily accounting duty and perform ad hoc assignment from time to time as assigned by the Accounts Office Manager
  • Undertake BACS and foreign payment runs loading payments onto banking platform as well as the accounts package

Requirements

  • Someone with accounts experience is desirable

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Competent using Microsoft Office packages
  • Ability to work on your own or as part of a team
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks and understand how to prioritise
