Plymouth, UK – [September 2025] – Applied Automation (UK) Ltd have announced the introduction of a four-day working week for employees across the business. The initiative, which will take effect from 1st September 2025, forms part of the company’s ongoing commitment to supporting employee wellbeing, improving work-life balance, and fostering long-term sustainable growth.

Under the new model, staff will work reduced hours across four days while maintaining full pay and existing benefits. Crucially, Applied Automation will continue to operate five days a week, with a carefully coordinated rota system in place. This ensures that all departments remain fully staffed throughout the traditional working week, allowing the business to maintain seamless operations, customer support, and production output Monday to Friday.

Following an internal review and a successful consultation period, the decision was made to move forward with the initiative with full confidence that productivity and service standards will remain high.
